Template:Infobox Driver Lewis Hamilton is a British racing driver who competed in a single season of GP2 during the 2006 season with ART Grand Prix. Hamilton won the championship on his very first attempt, finishing twelve points ahead of second place finisher Nelson Piquet, Jr.. Following his success in GP2, Hamilton moved up into the Formula One category in 2007 and went on to win the Formula One championship the following year in 2008.
