The 2013 Sepang GP2 Event - Sprint Race was the second race of the 2013 GP2 Season. It took place on March 24th 2013 at the Sepang International Circuit.

Stéphane Richelmi started the race on pole, having finished eighth in the Feature Race.

The race was won by Monegasque driver, Stefano Coletti who took the lead on the first lap and held it to the end. Close behind was Felipe Nasr, with New Zealander Mitch Evans in third place on his series début. Evans' podium was the best result for a New Zealand born driver in GP2 history. Feature race winner Fabio Leimer was tapped by James Calado between Turns 3 and 4 on the first lap, but ran in eighth until a mistake pushed him back to 12th late in the race. The race also saw a major first-lap collision, when James Calado missed his braking point, clipped Fabio Leimer, and smashed into Julián Leal. Front row starter Sam Bird was also touched by Calado and was forced to retire with damage later in the lap.

Frenchman Nathanaël Berthon set the fastest lap, but was ineligible to score points for it as he finished outside of the top-ten. Instead, race winner Coletti picked up the two points for the fastest lap of the top-ten drivers.

The result left Coletti top of the Driver Standings, 11 points clear of Leimer. Coletti's Rapax team head the Teams Championship after a good showing by both drivers. Racing Engineering are 7 points behind in second.
